what is applied kinesiology |

There are several facts that distinguish the applied kinesiology from what is happening in conventional medicine right now.

First of all, the applied kinesiology is built according to the laws of neuroscience. Which laws are they? They are the laws of the peripheral nervous system disorders, which state that nerve compression causes hypotonus, hypoesthesia, hyporeflexia, while muscle contraction and spasm are secondary. They appear in antagonistic and posturally-overstressed muscles. Thus, according to the laws of neurology, conventional treatment aimed at stretching or malaxation of contracted, spasmed muscles is no good at all. But how do we find these hypotonic, hypoexcited muscles, which do not show any pain syndrome? Here is where the value of the applied kinesiology lies — it has a wonderful ability to measure the reflex activity of the nervous system under stress. That’s exactly when muscle weakness is identified. It is silly to examine the patient’s reflexes at rest, when the patient has no pains. That’s when hypotonus and hypoexcitability of the muscles are detected, so that we can also identify the hidden compression syndromes resulting in the muscle hypotonus.

To identify the cause of the disease, and this is what all doctors tend to do, we need to identify the weak link in the muscular-skeletal system. We need a tool for clinical and visual diagnostics, for muscular tests, for palpatory assessment to identify the link to start with, and this is a key to successful treatment.

The applied kinesiology offers an integrative approach, when diagnostics is based on the complex interaction of all organs and systems of the body, and not from the point of view of a separate region, a separate muscle, a separate joint or a separate organ.

Why is it important? Because the pain syndrome frequently arises in one area, but the cause is somewhere else. In many cases we remove the pain syndrome and deprive the body of its ability to talk to us. We don’t help but we make the problem worse. And last but not least: for the applied kinesiology a person’s health is an exchange and adaptation to the environment. If one’s adaptation to the environment is broken, his energy, substance and information exchange is broken, too, and it happens simultaneously. That’s why a kinesiologist should possess all skills to be able to work with structure, emotions, biochemistry, with the system of channels and meridians, and with metabolic disorders. Only in this case a kinesiologist is a holistic expert.

Why am I telling you all this? It’s because many colleagues who visited one or two seminars and were inspired by the opportunities the applied kinesiology offers finished their training after those two seminars. They look like wizards who wanted to create a goat but ended up creating an elephant. There is nothing worse than an undereducated kinesiologist. So, if you want to master the applied kinesiology, please select an institution where you want to study and complete your education. Because you are not only responsible for yourself, you are responsible for the people who trust you. Today kinesiologists are the most demanded and the most significant experts.
